Mobility and efficiency of biometric verification of foreign citizens in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The mobile application for identity verification has completely mobilized work with biometric data. In addition to facilitating work in the field and shortening the time required for identification, quick response, i.e., checking of persons in emergency situations, is enabled as well.

To speed up the face identification process, a mobile application for identity verification with mobile devices for biometric verification of migrants and other foreign citizens has been provided.

The result of the actions of the officers in the field is automatically visible to all interested departments of the Service for Foreigner’s Affairs of BiH, and therefore to the Ministry of Security BiH and all other competent institutions.

Considering that during the implementation of the project, about 40,000 migrants have been staying in Bosnia and Herzegovina for a period of one year, and that the trend of the influx of

illegal migrants to the territory of Bosnia and Herzegovina has been growing exponentially, the field work will be significantly facilitated and accelerated.
